Cyndi Munson is the Democratic Minority Leader in the Oklahoma House of Representatives representing District 85 since her 2015 special election victory. The first Asian-American woman elected to the Oklahoma Legislature, she grew up in Lawton as the daughter of a Vietnam veteran and South Korean immigrant and built a career in nonprofit work focused on education and at-risk youth before entering politics. She is now the Democratic nominee for governor in 2026.
